Kah Buay is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a practising member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). She is also a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax and GST) of the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP). Kah Buay is currently a partner of Kwan Wong Tan & Hong, a firm of public and chartered accountants. She has more than 40 years of experience in assurance (audit), accounting and taxation services. Kah Buay served the management council of Anchorage and Anchorpoint for 20 years. Some years as the treasurer. It is a mixed development comprising more than 700 residential units and Anchorpoint, the shopping mall.

In February 2017, Kah Buay joined Tang Renaissance as one of the founding members and had been its Director/Company Secretary since then. She brings to the team four decades of corporate finance expertise and experience with compliance to manage the financial integrity and reliability of Tang Renaissance.
