'The Tragedy of Qin Xianglian' tells the poignant story of a woman of virtue, whose unwavering love and sense of justice shine even in the face of betrayal and suffering. After achieving the highest scholarly honour, Chen Shimei weds a princess and abandons his wife and children. Undaunted, Qin Xianglian sets out with her children in search of him, enduring hardship yet remaining steadfast in faith and compassion. When confronted with her husband's cruelty, she faces all with dignity and righteousness. Through the incorruptible Judge Bao Zheng, justice is ultimately restored, revealing the power of truth and moral courage.

More than a tale of personal sorrow, this production is a reflection on the enduring Chinese virtues of loyalty, integrity and justice. Through the language of traditional opera, The Tragedy of Qin Xianglian reminds us that love, honesty and righteousness transcend time—timeless values that continue to define the essence of humanity.

剧情简介

上海越剧《秦香莲》讲述一位贤良女子在乱世中坚守真情、伸张正义的感人故事。秦香莲丈夫陈世美考中状元后娶公主为妻，忘却糟糠之妻与儿女。秦香莲带着孩子千里寻夫，历经艰险仍不改忠贞与信念。面对丈夫的无情与背叛，她以柔克刚，以德制恶，终在包拯的铁面无私之下，还原真相，惩恶扬善。

这部作品不仅是一段家庭悲剧，更折射出中华文化中"忠义、廉正、公道"的精神内核。通过戏曲，我们体悟到：真情、诚信与正义，始终是人类社会不灭的价值。
