About Xu Heyang
Teacher Xu, a graduate from the Drama and Opera Department at Shenyang Normal University, majoring in Peking Opera performance. She has solid stage training and experience, including a teaching role at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA). Her performance extends over China and abroad, notably captivating audiences in a cultural exchange activity in Japan by playing a transvestite role. She has appeared on CCTV's programs such as "Happiness Bill" and "Avenue of Stars" in 2016, where she was the champion in the first week of September and the monthly champion in October. She has performed for President Xi Jinping and other national leaders on CCTV's CMG Spring Festival Gala in both 2018 and 2019. Known for her powerful stage presence, she is recognised as a rising image in modern opera education and performance.
